Dini S. Purwono commenced practicing law in Indonesia in 1997 after graduating from Universitas Indonesia in that same year. She further obtained her Master’s degree (LL.M) in International Finance Law from Harvard Law School, USA, as a Fulbright Scholar, in 2002.

As a qualified lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in the legal industry, she has extensive expertise in securities, capital markets, and M&A. She advises on the Indonesian legal aspects of capital markets and securities transactions, including initial public offerings, rights issues, bond issuances, private placements, material transactions, conflict of interest transactions, and tender offers. Her broader experience includes advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, the establishment and restructuring of foreign investment companies, and the sale of strategic stakes in public and private companies to domestic and foreign investors.

In early 2025, Dini joined HWMA Law Firm following the merger of Purwono & Widyayanti Law Firm. Before this move, Dini had an extensive career as a corporate lawyer at several prominent law firms. Beyond her work as a lawyer, she has frequently been entrusted with roles contributing to Indonesian state-owned enterprises (BUMNs). Her contributions include serving as the Head of Legal Division at PT Danareksa (Persero) from 2005 to 2008, Member of the Investment Committee of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) from 2019 to 2021, and as an Independent Commissioner of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk., from 2021 to 2025.

In addition to being a corporate lawyer, Dini also had the opportunity to serve as Special Staff to the Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) from 2012 to 2013, Special Staff to the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia from 2013 to 2014, Special Staff to the President of the Republic of Indonesia (for legal matters) from 2019 to 2024 and Secretary to the Presidential Task Force for Investment Acceleration from 2021 to 2024.
