Kukuh K. Hadiwidjojo commenced practicing law in Indonesia in 1997 after graduating from the University of Indonesia in that year, and further attended the same university for the Notary Master Degree which he obtained in 2006 and Doctorate Degree in 2022. With his extensive knowledge, innovative insights and approach in the legal practice, he has handled and successfully represented clients in the fields of banking and finance, merger and acquisition, corporate restructuring, and the capital-market.

In the financial and banking sector, Kukuh has wide-raging experiences. In the 1998 Asian financial crisis, he was involved in bank resolutions, takeover and recapitalization, also engaged in asset recovery measures and deposit guarantee program scheme. He was handling the bankruptcy case of PT Bank Global International Tbk (in liquidation process), the most well-known bankruptcy case in 2005. The case was about a bank in the liquidation process, which was sued for bankruptcy by some of the customers. Kukuh won the case, and according to him, if Bank Global was declared bankrupt by the court, the state could potentially suffer a loss of Rp732.9 billion. During the global financial crisis in 2008, Kukuh was also involved in the restructuring of PT Bank Century.

In the capital market sector, Kukuh is registered as a Capital Market Legal Consultant. At the end of 2024, Kukuh Komandoko was appointed to be a Chairman of the Indonesia Financial Sector Legal Consultants Association (formerly HKHPM). In his leadership, Kukuh ushered in a new phase for HKHPM, initiating a transformation of the nomenclature of HKHPM into HKHSK to reflect the rapidly changing regulatory and business landscape of the financial sector.

With a deep understanding of capital markets, he empowers clients by providing expert representation in a variety of transactions within the capital market sector, including public offering, bonds issuance, and also handling criminal cases related to the capital market. Kukuh also regularly advises clients on daily public company issues, such as good corporate governance (GCG), disclosures, and material transactions.

Kukuh's expertise extends beyond finance and banking to include commercial arbitration and criminal litigation. He's successfully defended clients in high-profile cases like the East Kalimantan Fertilizer Pension Fund (DAPEN PKT).

Kukuh emphasizes the complexities of law enforcement in finance, as it can impact sector stability, the national economy, and legal certainty. He's a sought-after speaker and educator, covering topics such as capital market law, contract drafting, business law, and more in training sessions and seminars.
